I prefer that you own and manage your own domain. Controlling your domain means you have the final say over your website. Many designers will buy your domain because they know that if you ever wish to leave them, they will have you over a barrel. This is not the way I choose to do business.
There are a number of good domain registrars out there who will be more than happy to help you get the domain you want. If this is just too much trouble for you I will manage your domain for you. I charge a flat rate of $20.00 a year to take care of everything. That will get you your domain (if it’s available), I’ll configure the nameservers properly and make sure that when it comes time to renew that your domain name doesn’t slip through the cracks.
If you want to buy and configure your own domain I will supply you with the relevant information you’ll need to set it up properly. If you are not technically savvy and still want to go this route, I can walk you through the process either over the phone or in person. I charge a my regular consulting rate of $40.00 per hour for house calls.

Unlimited simply means you do not have to worry about disk storage or bandwidth even if your site gets Boing Boinged, slashdotted, DUGG or just plain popular.
This doesn’t mean you should be sloppy. If your site isn’t well optimized and is affecting others you may be asked to change. We all share the same RAM, CPU and disk I/O so it’s in your best interest to play nicely with others.

Sites who essentially gobble up bandwidth. That means if you are part of that less than one percent who wants to run a free porn affiliate, distribute copyrighted movies and music files (that you don’t own the copyright to or are licensed to distribute), share, archive mirrors, file upload, create a site primarily to drive traffic to another site or just generally abuse the account.
You may be saying to yourself, “Well that doen’t sound unlimited to me”.
And you would be literally right, but if you are a basic, legitimate website owner it is essentially unlimited. The rest of you can just go elsewhere.
Collected Information
We collect personal information from you including your name, e-mail address, billing address, and other pertinent information,
We may also collect the URL from which you linked into our site, your IP address, and your browser type and version, all of which are collected in an anonymous manner without being linked to any of your personal information.
Privacy is something I take very seriously. We do not, and have never, sold or disseminated any personal information from our customers to any parties outside of the Mykl Wells network. I use the collected information for the purposes of creating and maintaining individual customer accounts, contacting customers in case of a problem with their account, sending personal information, for statistical purposes, to administer my systems, to conduct surveys, to administer drawings or contests, and to provide technical support. No contracted parties will ever have access to individual customer information without your express written permission (i.e. you want to hire a designer and give them access to your account).
The contact information that you provide me is used to register your domain name if you have asked me to manage it for you. The domain registration system, is available for public viewing via the use of the ‘whois’ tool.
Spam, the unsolicited email, instant messaging and other forms of bulk communications, is against our Terms and Conditions. Any customer who uses their account in conjunction with this practice will be disabled immediately without refund.
The following is considered acceptable use of bulk email and communications in conjunction with your account.
1. Mailing list subscribers must specifically opt-into the list they are subscribed to. This applies to both new subscriptions and the bulk addition of addresses already subscribed via other means. Confirmation is handled using a single confirmation message sent to the subscriber’s email address. This mailing must contain a URL to the site’s privacy policy, a brief description of the mailing list, and a URL that the user must follow to confirm the subscription.
2. Mailing list subscriber information must include the date and time that the subscription was confirmed, as well as the IP address of the subscriber at the time of the subscription. The user must be able to present this information upon request.
3. The nature of email address use must be fully disclosed, either on the page the subscription is made from or with a prominent link to the site’s Privacy Policy. It must be made reasonably clear how a user’s email address will be used and in what circumstances it will be shared.
4. Lists cannot be procured from outside parties unless the email sender has procured a list from an organization that sells or otherwise shares email distribution lists, and all of the following conditions are met:
1. The selling organization maintains a publicly viewable privacy policy disclosing that such sales may occur.
2. The privacy policy is prominently linked to from the page the subscriber signed up from.
3. The privacy policy has not changed substantially since the user signed up.
4. Records are kept of the date, time, IP address, and form location where the subscribing user signed up from.
5. Lists procured from outside parties must have been consistently handled in a manner comparable to our policies.
6. Users cannot populate lists with addresses obtained for a substantially different purpose than was originally disclosed to the user.
7. All subscriptions must be re-confirmed in the manner described in Subscriptions (Section 1) before being sent bulk email messages.
Mailing Practices
1. Users must not modify the headers of any message in such a way that purposefully obfuscates the origin of the message.
2. Undeliverable addresses must be removed from all future mailings after no more than 5 bounces.
3. Users are responsible for the practices of any affiliate program members they solicit the help of, as if they were hiring an outside advertising agency.
4. Users using either outside advertising companies or 3rd party mailing programs must abide by the same policies and practices as those using Mykl Wells Hosting’s own bulk mailing tools.
5. All mailings must provide clear and simple to follow instructions for opting-out of future mailings, and all reasonable attempts must be made to facilitate the removal of a mailing list subscriber at their request.
6. The user is advised and acknowledges that all our electronic mail service equipment is located in California. In no event shall the user use this equipment in violation of California’s anti-spam laws including California Business & Professions Code sections 17538.4 and 17538.45.
Spamware
1. It is strictly prohibited in conjunction with your DreamHost account to sell software designed specifically to facilitate the practice of spamming.
Other
1. Predominately promotional messages must not be posted to bulletin boards, discussion forums, guestbooks, Usenet newsgroups, or any other similar service unless the operator of that service explicitly allows such messages. In the case of Usenet newsgroups, such messages must be specifically allowed in that group’s charter.
Disablement
1. We reserve the right to disable any account at any time should we suspect that it is being used in conjunction with the practice of spamming.
2. Customers must substantially address all spam related inquiries by within 72 hours. Failure to respond within a reasonable period of time may result in the disablement of the user’s account.
